With the image on the left and the image on the right, I want to further hint at two themes that each milestone project will express. The left image shows a man looking at a black swirl of birds. The swirl represents the theme of eternal recurrence and the black color represents the monotony and gloom of eternal recurrence. The man is supposed to be me, as I look with awe at the concept of eternal recurrence and start to reflect on what it means to me. The theme of eternal recurrence will be further explained in the first song, Secret Fate of All Life. The image on the right shows two colors coming together in a swirl. The addition of colors shows the past, with the color blue, and the present, with the color orange, blending together so that we can pursue our passion and voice ourselves. This theme of pursuing a passion and voicing ourselves will be explained more in the second song, +1 Verse.

I have created two music pieces, each acting as their own milestone project, which is one of the required elements of this website project that dives deep into ourselves and our views on the world and meaning. Each song tackles a different aspect of my worldview on meaning, which again is that we voice ourselves to the world to discover our meaning. The first song, Secret Fate of All Life, attempts to profoundly expand upon the reason why we want to voice ourselves to the world, beyond just discovering meaning. The other song, +1 Verse, attempts to dive deeper into how we can build up our confidence and make great efforts to voice ourselves. I chose to first discuss the reason of why we voice ourselves rather than first discussing how we voice ourselves because the tone of the first song is somber and the tone of the second song is uplifting, so I want to end on a more motivating note. Also, due to the abstract nature of each song, an explanation accompanies each music piece so that listeners may come to understand why I made certain choices in the mixing of the song. I chose to verbally deliver my explanation of the songs not only because it allows me to discuss my ideas more freely but also because I feel my conclusions are not completely concrete and the medium of writing would make it seem established.
